Example Puzzles

White to play and win (Remove the defender)

The bishop on e8 is defending the f7 square. So, remove the bishop with Re8. Black would capture back with Ke8 or Re8, then white can do Qf7 mate.

Re1 Re1 stalemate. Here, black sacrifices his rook to get himself into a stalemate.
