📘 Mini-Lesson of the day: [Outpost]
Today’s theme is about Outpost in chess
💡 Key Insights:
You create a situation where you take one of your pieces to a square on the board where it cannot be attacked by any of the opponents’ less valuable pieces.
Let us see an example to understand this
.

White to play and take your knight to the outpost square
The white knight has to reach d5, which is an outpost square, as the d5 square cannot be controlled by Black’s bishop or pawns.
Now, in order to reach the d5 square, the white knight has to travel to e3 and then to d5.
But the black bishop is on g5 and controlling the e3 square.
So, White can play the first pawn to h4, pushing the bishop back, and then can go to Ne3 followed by Nd5 in the next move.
Once the knight reaches the d5 square, White has a great chance in the ending.
